I think this year is our year!! and we are going to destroy any opponent ;), all of us are working hard and as a team, so i think we are ready, we just need a bit of practice and polishing, after doing so, LOGOS IS THE WINNER :D

That´s the spirit Ma. Lorena!! May the force be with us!!!

I think ECA should be mandatory. I consider that ECA should be divided into categories according to the country´s needs and the populations job opportunities. Why? Well, because in public urban schools ECA should be focused on what the future has to offer them, for example, experiences in accounting, bank tellers, mechanics, technicians. These are the possible job opportunites they will be able to access. If we have to choose sports well soccer and tenis would be a realistic option.
Suburban public schools ECA could be related to farming, mining, landscaping since these are most likely the activities related to their parents professions.
On the other hand, private schools should focus on developing skills that will generate more jobs and improve the country´s political and economical situation.

I think that ECA should not be mandatory because going to a lot of activities in one single day could lead to a burnout, stress and even health problems. Another thing is that it can affect our flow of the day, it can affect our time with family, friends studies and even time for ourselves. Finally I think that making ECA mandatory, a lot of money will be used to crate new centers, rather than for other mayor issues and a lot of people will create an uproar because of prices, space and time for those activities

Since I'm a music maniac, I wouldn't care to have extracurricular activities if guitar playing is among them. There are some advantages of it, for example kids would do something productive instead of sitting on their computers and chat all the day. They will develop skills in every activity they choose such as chess, music, sports, video club. But there are also other kids that won't like it since time isn't enough to do their homework or simple don't want them to be mandatory because that way they wont like to be "prisoner" in something they don't want to participate. There should be a middle part, instead of being mandatory just for the one's that will like it because everyone likes something in this life, Education System should PROMOTE not MANDATE ECA. We live in a democratic society and everyone has the right to choose what to do.
Also adolescents and teens should encourage themselves to be part of something a club video, a band, a soccer team, it is good for social and interactive skills. Not only will help you to be healthy physically but also mentally.

I'm strongly disagree with the resolution "the ecuadorian education system should make extracurricular activities mandatory" because it is suppose that Ecuador lives in democracy and the base of democracy is the freedom of speech and decition ,nd teenagres and children have to choice if they want an extracurricular activity or not .

I think extracurrilucar activities are very important for our development in our educational aspect but i dont agree that the goberment has to make then mandatory. I do agree firmly that the goberment should invest more money in this types of programs that will benefit the of Ecuadorian youth in their futures. att: ana cevallos ycaza

Well, I think that there are many points of view about this topic. I think that extracurricular activities are very good but they make people lose their time if they cant divide in a good way their schedule. I think that schools sould promote extracurricular activities but never obbligate students to do them cuz everyone needs the freedom to decide what to do.

Extracurrilar work I consider very important in the development of the kids. Everything in excess is bad. Thats why i personal desagreeabout the goberments proposal, that states that extracurrilar activites should be mandatory.

Im agree with the resolution because have extracurricular activities make the students more responsable and healthy, for example have sports as extracurricular activity is the best thing because in that way the students are going to have a very healty live, and evryone need to have that right to can do sports after school, because some schools didn't have it.

I think that we all need extracurricular activities, because it helps us to have a better knowleage, and is better to do something like sports, or activities to nivelate your knowleage than to waste your time doing nothing.

i disagree, in my point of view the positive side had a great arguments, but in this part of my life, i mean in sixth curse, is when i give all of my self and pass with 20, so that would be a stress out more for my life.

I disagree with the resolution because I do not play sports at all, so, I would choose an artistic extracurricular activity, and in Ecuador there are not much good music or dance teachers in Ecuador, so I would just stand there and do nothing, wasting my time.

I agree with the resolution The Ecuadorian education system should make extracurricular activities mandatory because every young person should have a healthy life and doing exercises will make them healthier. Though extracurricular activities are sports, most of the time, the ones that doesn't like sports can do arts, or something else.

i am totally disagree because that make the childs live in a not democracy laws so the childrens have the decision any body can´t make the extracurricular activities obligatory thats only going to make some childrens live in a sad form because not have the ability

Alejandra Aguirre said...

i think that it have to be optional because maybe some students have a lot of homework and other activities to make and are not going to have time to extracurricular activities

I agree, because we can increase are skills abilities and also we can have a new hobbie and maybe we can do it our future job if we are telented on it.

I'm not really able to choose a side when it comes to this resolution because both sides have valid points that are worth discussing. It's true it's good to promote artistic activities and sports and so, but if those are mandatory and you have no interest in them, then a problem there shows up.

i don't agree with the resolution "The Ecuadorian education system should make extracurricular activities mandatory" because, as fernando moya said in the debate, logos has many extrtacurrilumun activities BUT, they dont have what i want.. and my parents cant said to me to practice a sport that i dont like even want to practice..
im not saying that they are bad.... but not all the ecuadorian students have the conditions to get and extracurrilum activity..

i think that the ECA is good but we need to see it from onother viewpoint (in this case the kids that dont like to do them) so we can understand why for some people is bad the ECA and for others not, so it shouldnt be obligatory.

I agree with this, sports should be one of the extracurricular activities because it is good for human health and help our body exercising the muscles. Art activities are also good because it help us to improve our brain and capacity of performing.

I disagree with this resolution because ECA are a waste of time and trust me, I've been a witness in a way in which taking courses or trying to learn something that is against your will is just impossible to actually learn because you just don't want to and feel unconfortable. I do think, on the other hand, that ECA should exist but should instead be optional. So, if someone needs to reinforce their skills or learn more about something then feel welcome to join. I think the people who organize these activities should create more incentives such as spare times or free meals in order to motivate students to stay after school in those ECA. I shouldn't be mandatory because it simply does not have to be.

And remember, nobody does anything right if it involves going against their will, unless threatened of course which, I don't really think that's going to happen.

I personal disagree with this resolution, because as my friend Andrea say, we live in a democratic country, so people in this case teens should be able to decide what they want. Extracurriclar activities are very helpful but they should´t be mandatory. We are able to decide for ourself and choose what is the best for ur.
